

Introducing: Ms Adelheid Marie Mancila - Piano
Adelheid Mancila has been studying piano since the age of 6 and graduated the High School of Art in Ploiesti, Romania, with a Music Diploma in Piano at the International Baccalaureate. She has thorough knowledge of music theory, musicianship, and music history. Having won her first gold medal in France in the International Piano Competition at the age of 8, she continued to acquire many prizes and trophies at various International Competitions and Music Olympics throughout Europe and Canada. She performed in recitals in Romania, France, Germany, Austria, and Canada, and has also performed with the Ploiesti Philharmonic Orchestra in Romania, giving two piano concertos, the first one being performed at the very young age of 13. She is currently in her 4th year at the University of Calgary, studying Piano Performance with Marilyn Engle, as well as International Relations. She has been a dedicated extensive piano instructor since 2004, with studio teaching and private teaching experience in many music curriculum and methods, including the RCM program. She has also participated in master classes with various well known pianists and musicians, such as: Kent McWilliams, Cordelia Hoffer Teutsch, Vlad Dimulescu. She is planning to complete a Master’s Degree in Piano Performance.
